Installing Printers on Active Directory

  1. On the server go to Control Panel and then Add Printer or Fax
  2. When the wizard appears, Select Local Printer and Click Next
  3. Select Create a new port and select TCP/IP Click Next
  4. Click Next
  5. Select the device as Generic, Click Next
  6. Add a name, and enter in the rest of the information to the printer, Click Finish
  7. To Add the Printer on a Client machine:
  8. Go to Printers and Faxes > Add
  9. Browse for a printer by selecting find and then searching; if you are authenticated to the domain on the server you just configured, the printer will appear, select it and press ok; you will now be able to print to it!
