Encrypting Files Using Windows Explorer

1. Right click on the folder that you wish to compress, go to properties
2. In the properties window, go to the Advanced button
3. Check the box that says Encrypt contents to secure data
4. Press ok
5. Press Apply

    

Encrypting Files Using the CIPHER Utility

1. On the server Go to Start > Run
2. Type CMD
3. CD to the folder or directory that the file is located that you wish to encrypt
4. Type Cypher /e /a {filename} and press enter
5. The said filename should now be encrypted
